Vol. 318 No. 9

Written Answers. - Meath Vocational School.

318.

asked the Minister for Education the proposals, if any, to replace the five pre-fabricated classrooms in use at Athboy vocational school, County Meath, with permanent classrooms.

319.

asked the Minister for Education if he has satisfied himself that the prefabricated classrooms. one of which dates from 1966, in use at Athboy vocational school, County Meath are satisfactory accommodation for classes.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 318 and 319 together.

I have approved, in principle, the enlargement of the vocational school at Athboy, County Meath, to provide accommodation for an overall enrolment of 175 pupils.

The project in connection with the enlargement and improvement of the school accommodation will involve the replacement of all the prefabricated classrooms by permanent accommodation.
