Vol. 319 No. 9

Written Answers. - Installation of Telephone.

124.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he is aware of the continuing delay in the installation of a telephone for a person (details supplied) in south west Cork despite the fact the the installation fees were paid last December and that the applicant was told that arrangements would be made for installation of the telephone without delay, and if he will now make arrangements for the installation in view of the fact that the applicant requires same for business purposes before the start of the tourist season.

The delay in providing service in this instance has been due to the volume of other urgent work requiring attention in the area. The telephone will be installed as quickly as possible but in any event within the next two months or so.
