My Department have circularised appropriate governmental and nongovernmental organisations for details of projects they may be in a position to sponsor to mark the International Year for Disabled Persons 1981. I am also discussing with my colleagues in the Government the general question of arrangements for the year, in particular the establishment of a national steering committee to co-ordinate the arrangements. I hope to be in a position to issue a statement in the matter shortly.
