In practically all cases a receiver is appointed by the holder of the charge on the assets of a company and the terms of appointment including the fees may be included in the instrument creating the charge. A receiver may also be appointed by an order of the High Court in which case the Court has power to fix the fee.

There are no statistics available in relation to the amount of fees payable to receivers.
