asked the Minister for Education if the plans to replace the prefabricated classrooms in use in each of the following schools—Duleek, Batterstown, Rathfeigh, Stamullen, Gortloney, Trim Boys, Skyrne, Maio, Nobber, St. Ultan's special school, Cannistown, Carnaros, Kentstown, Kilcloon, Rathbeggan and Kiltale which had not, at the time of his reply to Parliamentary Question No. 393 of 4 March 1980 passed the stage of completion of working drawings, have since done so in any case, and, if so, if he will give the details.

Plans to replace the prefabricated classrooms in use at the schools listed in the Deputy's question have not yet passed the stage of completion of working drawings.

andMr. Clinton asked the Minister for Education the national schools in County Kildare in which prefabricated classrooms are in use, the age of the classrooms in each case, the schools in which there are no plans to replace the prefabricated classrooms, those in which the plans to replace such classrooms have not passed the stage of completion of working drawings and those in respect of which it is expected the new permanent classrooms will be completed before the end of 1980.

It is expected that the prefabricated classrooms will be replaced by permanent accommodation by the end of 1980 at the following centres: Monasterevin Convent, Naas Convent, Athy CBS, Milltown, Suncroft.

There are no plans at present to replace the prefabricated classrooms at: Rathmore, Athy Convent, Ballyshannon, Allen, Ticknevin, Bigstone, St. Conleths Infants, Newbridge, St. Conleths Girls, Newbridge.

The following are the schools where plans to replace the prefabricated classrooms have not passed the stage of completion of working drawings: Kilmeade, Caragh, Naas CBS, Nurney.

The following are the schools where there are no proposals to replace the prefabricated classrooms at present: Downs; Curraghmore; Rahugh; Lismacaffrey; Mullingar Convent (Senior Girls); Coole; St. Mary's Monastery National School, Athlone; Delvin; St. Mary's Convent, Athlone; Mullingar Convent, Juniors.

The following are the schools where plans to replace the prefabricated classrooms have not passed the stage of completion of working drawings: Tubberclair; Kinnegad; Mount Temple.

It is expected that a new school will be completed at Ballinea before the end of 1980 and that the existing school building will then be vacated.
