Vol. 321 No. 10

Written Answers. - Navan College Acquisition.

63.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if his attention has been drawn to proposals by the religious authorities to close St. Martha's College, Navan, County Meath, and if he will acquire this school in view of the shortage of places in agricultural colleges.

The college is being continued in operation until the end of the 1980-81 academic year. In view of the impending transfer of my functions in this area to An Chomhairle Oiliúna Talmhaíochta (AnCOT), the question of acquiring the premises, should they become available from 1981, would be a matter for consideration by that body.
