Vol. 322 No. 1

Written Answers. - Nenagh Industries.

315.

asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism if he can indicate whether there are early prospects of locating industries in the industrial estate at Stafford Street, Nenagh, County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Stafford Street industrial estate, which comprises five small factory units totalling 14,770 sq. ft. is being promoted by the Shannon Free Airport Development Company Limited as part of their role of developing small indigenous industry in the area. The company are negotiating with a promoter for the location of a project which, if it goes ahead, would occupy three of the five factory units.

The remaining two units, totalling 5,370 sq. ft., are not as yet allocated but are being vigorously promoted for suitable industrial projects.
