Vol. 322 No. 2

Written Answers. - Tramore (Waterford) New Garda Station.

303.

asked the Minister for Finance if, in respect of the proposed new Garda Station for Tramore, Country Waterford, legal formalities have been completed concerning the site; when tenders will be invited; when it is expected that work will commence on the building of this new Garda Station which is urgently required in the area; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Commissioners of Public Works await completion of the contract for sale of a site for the new Garda station by Tramore Town Commissioners, who are being pressed to complete the contract.

When the legal formalities of purchase have been concluded the plans for the new station will be completed but it is too early at this stage to say when building work can commence.
