Drogheda Harbour Commissioners have submitted proposals for amendment of their pilotage bye-laws so as to provide for increased pilotage dues. I have recently directed the commissioners to publish the required statutory notice of their proposals and when the time for receipt of objections-representations has expired I will have a decision conveyed to the commissioners without delay.
The commissioners have also applied for my consent to increase charges for the use of cranes and grabs at the harbour. I am awaiting further information from the Commissioners in regard to that application.
