Vol. 322 No. 9

Written Answers. - Trade Union Negotiation Licences.

452.

asked the Minister for Labour (a) the number of applicants for trade union negotiation licences at present in his Department; (b) the names of the organisations seeking such licences; and (c) the number of such licences issued since January 1978 and the organisations to whom they were issued.

An application for a negotiation licence on behalf of the Ancient Guild of Incorporated Brick and Stonelayers' Trade Union is before me at present. The Irish Veterinary Union was granted a negotiation licence in June, 1980.

In each of these cases there was a former licence which had been rendered invalid.
