Under the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County Borough of Dublin and County of Dublin) Regulations, 1977, a built-up area speed limit of 30 miles per hour applies to public roads in this area. The provision of the speed limit signs is a matter for the local authority concerned, that is, Dublin County Council.
