The reason that the rate of unemployment assistance payable to the person concerned was recently reduced is that the claimant had undisclosed capital which has to be taken into account in the assessment of his means.
If the claimant is dissatisfied with the decision, it is open to him to appeal and to have his case referred to an appeals officer for determination.
