Written Answers. - BIM Boatyard Sales.

asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry the names of the companies who purchased the BIM boatyards at Baltimore, Dingle and Killybegs; the names of the companies now registered as owners of the boatyards; if he will give details of the mortgage debentures and general charges in favour of BIM over the assets of the various companies that purchased the boatyards or the companies that are now the registered owners or any other companies or on any other assets in connection with the sale of the boatyards.

The purchaser of the boatyards in question were: Baltimore — Baltimore Boatbuilding Co. Ltd.; Dingle — Dingle Boats Teo.; Killybegs—Killybegs Shipyard Ltd. Dingle Boats Teo. are the registered owners of the Dingle boatyard with BIM holding a mortgage debenture. BIM continues to be the registered owner of Baltimore and Killybegs boatyards pending registration of security documents.

The total amount of mortgage debenture and general charge in favour of BIM and registered or to be registered against the boatyards is £519,000. It is not the practice to give details of financial arrangements with private individuals or companies.
