When an assistant teacher transferred from this four-teacher school on 1 October 1980 the required average enrolment of 110 to warrant a succession appointment had not been secured by the school for the prescribed periods, the average enrolment for the September 1980 quarter being 106.5. Consequently, the post of fourth teacher (third assistant) had to be suppressed under the rules from 1 October 1980. It is understood that the enrolment at the school at present is 103.
