Vol. 325 No. 1

Written Answers. - County Donegal School Transport.

329.

asked the Minister for Education the reason 11 children (details supplied) in County Donegal are not getting free transport to Drumkeen national school, County Donegal although they are over the two mile limit; and when transport will be provided for them.

There are not sufficient eligible children in the locality in question to warrant the establishment of a special school transport service under the rules of the school transport scheme. Four of the children in question are less than two miles from the school and one child is over ten years old and less than three miles from the school. These five children are therefore ineligible for free school transport under the terms of the scheme.
