Vol. 325 No. 3

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

10.

asked the Minister for the Environment when he will sanction the new water scheme for Dunfanaghy and Marble Hill, County Donegal.

Tenders for the civil works contract of the Creeslough/ Dunfanaghy water supply scheme, which will also service the Marble Hill area, are at present under consideration in my Department. I hope to be in a position to convey a decision thereon to the local authority shortly.

Can the Minister tell the House the amount of money involved in this scheme?

The scheme is estimated to cost £950,000.

Will the Minister confirm that money is not the delaying factor in this case?

The Deputy can take it that I am very sympathetically disposed.

This was one of the things that was not promised at the by-election.

That is a rare bird.

All the birds are over there.

11.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will immediately sanction phase two of the Youghal water and sewerage scheme, County Cork.

Tenders for Stage 2 of this scheme were submitted to my Department on 11 November 1980 and are at present under examination.
