Vol. 325 No. 5

Written Answers. - South Tipperary Sub-Post Office.

367.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the widespread indignation and unrest in the area concerning the possible action by his Department in removing the sub-post office, now vacant, at Nine Mile House, Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary, to another district; if he will allay the anxiety of the people of this area by giving an assurance that the sub-post office will remain there in view of the fact that suitable applicants and premises are available; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have filled the vacancy for postmaster at Nine Mile House. The appointment will not involve the relocation of the sub-post office in another area of the district.
