Vol. 325 No. 6

Written Answers. - Mague Catchment Drainage.

66.

asked the Minister for Finance when the drainage of the Mague river on the Limerick-Cork border will commence; and if he is aware of the serious flooding to fertile land in the area.

I am aware that flooding occurs in the area in question which is in the upper reaches of the Maigue catchment. Arterial drainage works under the Maigue drainage scheme now in progress are expected to reach the area in about two year's time.
