Vol. 326 No. 2

Written Answers. - Spinal Operation Delay.

125.

asked the Minister for Health if he is aware that a person (details supplied) in County Galway who is in the Western Health Board area and who is the holder of a medical card has been waiting almost two years for a spinal operation; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Arrangements for providing hospital treatment for patients in County Galway is a matter for the Western Health Board. I have had inquiries made into the case referred to by the Deputy and I understand that the health board recently informed the Deputy that this patient will be admitted to hospital for treatment soon.
