Vol. 326 No. 3

Written Answers. - Kerry Unemployment Benefit Claimant.

118.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the reason a person (details supplied) in County Kerry did not qualify for unemployment benefit.

The reason that the person concerned did not qualify for unemployment benefit was that she did not satisfy the statutory contribution conditions.

She claimed unemployment benefit from October 1979 to May 1980 and again from September 1980 to 23 November 1980 but, as she had less than 26 contributions paid in respect of insurable employment, she was not entitled to benefit in respect of either period.
