Written Answers. - People with Disabilities.

Richard Bruton

Question:

351 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Health and Children if the 2002 Estimates have been based on a change in the payment rate or the income qualification threshold for mobility allowance for motorised transport grant. [29055/01]

All allowances or grants for people with disabilit ies that come under the aegis of my Department, including mobility allowance and motorised transport grants, are currently being examined by an inter-health board working group. The deliberations of this group are nearing completion and any changes in the schemes will be considered in light of the group's recommendations and available resources.
