asked the Minister for Finance if he will outline his plans for the erection of a new Garda station in (i) Tipperary town and (ii) Nenagh, County Tipperary.

(i) The Commissioners of Public Works are purchasing the fee simple interest in the existing Garda station property in Tipperary town and planning for the erection of a new station on part of the site is in hands.

(ii) The Commissioners have recently purchased the former Allied Irish bank premises at Kickham Street, Nenagh, and planning of the adaptation works necessary to meet Garda requirements is now in hands.
