andMr. Kelly asked the Minister for Energy the percentage of our GNP which was expended on imported energy in each year since 1973 and the likely percentage for 1981.

The table below sets out the percentage of GNP expended on imported energy each year since 1973; estimates for 1980 and 1981 are included. Imported energy is taken to comprise oil, coal and gas imports. There were no electricity imports during this period.
