asked the Minister for the Environment when a grant in respect of conversion to solid fuel will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

The grant will be paid shortly.

asked the Minister for the Environment when the £1,000 new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

This grant was paid on the 9 February 1981.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a reconstruction grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

A grant will be paid when evidence of planning permission to cover the installation of a septic tank is submitted to the Department. This evidence has been requested in two letters sent to the applicant by the Department.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a grant for a solid fuel cooker, the work on which was inspected last May, will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Meath; and why it has not yet been paid.

The grant was paid on 30 January 1981.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in South West Cork; and when the payment will be made.

There has been no undue delay in dealing with this case. The grant was paid on 13 February 1981.

390.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a house improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in south west Cork; and when it is expected that the grant will issue.

The delay in dealing with this case has been due to the large number of applications being processed in my Department. A grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the work is complete and eligible for a grant. Arrangements are being made for an early inspection.
