Vol. 327 No. 10

Written Answers. - Dublin Company's Threatened Job Losses.

333.

asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism if he is aware of the threatened job losses at a company (details supplied) in Dublin; and if the EMS grants they have been receiving for the past three years can be continued or if alternative grants can be made available.

I am not aware of threatened job losses in the company concerned and in the course of recent discussions which they had with the company the Industrial Development Authority were not informed of any proposed redundancies.

The Government are actively exploring the possibility of resolving the difficulties which have so far prevented the renewal of the employment temporary subvention scheme or the substitution of an alternative scheme.
