With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 33 to 37, inclusive, together. It is expected that cabling will be completed in this area to serve these applicants towards the end of this year and that the necessary exchange facilities will also be available about that time. Service will then be offered to the applicants.

Within the next three months.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in Dublin.

Service to this applicant is dependent on the provision of additional cabling which, because of the volume of engineering work requiring attention at present, is unlikely to be provided for at least a year.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 41 and 42 together.

The numbers of waiting applicants in each of the areas mentioned are as follows: Rushbrook, 142; Kennington, 100; Osprey, 85; Willington, 30; Wilderwood, 31.

Service to applicants in these estates is dependent on cabling work being carried out in the area and on the provision of additional exchange equipment. The necessary cabling work is being carried out progressively and should be completed towards the end of this year, by which time it is expected the exchange equipment will also be available. Service will be provided then for the applicants concerned.
