Vol. 330 No. 1

Written Answers. - Meath Accounting System.

426.

asked the Minister for the Environment if his Department's auditor has followed up with Meath County Council to see if they are improving their accounting system to comply with his report on their last audit.

The matter raised by the local government auditor in his audit of the accounts of Meath County Council were taken up by my Department with the local authority and it is understood that appropriate action has been taken and will continue to be taken in areas where standards need improvement.
