As the Deputy will no doubt be aware, I have recently announced a scheme of grant-aid towards the implementation of a community, youth, recreational and employment programme. It is open to all interested groups, organisations and clubs to apply for assistance under this scheme and official application forms and details of the scheme may be obtained from my Department. Until all applications have been received and reviewed, I shall not be in a position to state which locations will qualify for grant-aid. It is anticipated that a decision will be made on the allocation of grants within a matter of weeks following the closing date, 30 November 1981, for the receipt of completed application forms.
