I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that as regards the application for refund of VAT by the person in question the bulk of the amount claimed was repaid on 13 October 1981. It was not possible to deal with the balance of the claim as it was not clear that the goods concerned were installed in a building designed for use solely or mainly in a farming business.
The claimant was requested on 30 September 1981, to supply further information regarding the location of the goods as installed. When that information is received the question of repayment of the tax involved will be further considered.
