asked the Minister for Finance the modification work that has been done to public buildings to ensure greater access for disabled persons.

There is no readily available source of information about the modifications which may have been carried out to all public buildings but the following is the information sought in relation to buildings for which the Commissioners of Public Works have a responsibility.

Ramps for wheelchairs have been provided at: Dublin — Talbot House, Talbot Street; Park House, North Circular Road; Nassau Building, Nassau Street; Kildare Building, Kildare Street; Molesworth Building, Molesworth Street; Gandon House, Amiens Street; Post Office, St. Andrew Street; Davitt House, Mespil Road; Custom House. Castlebar — Post Office. Galway — Women's Employment Exchange. Oughterard — Garda Station. Sligo — Custom House.

Work is in progress or is about to commence at: GPO, Dublin; Department of Defence Parkgate, Dublin; O'Connell Bridge House, Dublin; 4-5 Harcourt Road, Dublin; Clonmel Garda Station, Co. Tipperary; Sligo Head Post Office, Co. Sligo; Ennis Post Office, Co. Clare; Loughrea Garda Station, Co. Galway; Clifden Employment Exchange, Co. Galway; Clifden Post Office, Co. Galway; Tuam Government Offices, Co. Galway.

Works are under consideration at the following buildings: National Gallery, Upper Merrion Street, Dublin; Hume House, Pembroke Road, Dublin; St. Martin's House, Waterloo Road, Dublin; College House, College Street, Dublin.

Adequate access was already available in the following buildings: 1 Lower Grand Canal Street, Dublin; Agriculture House, Kildare Street, Dublin; Lansdowne House, Lansdowne Road, Dublin; Pearse House, Pearse Street, Dublin; Earlsfort House, Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin.

Amongst new buildings in the design of which access for the disabled has been incorporated are: Office buildings at Lower Leeson Street, Beggar's Bush, Hatch Street and Meteorological Service Building, Glasnevin, Dublin. Post Offices at Athy, County Kildare; Castleblayney, County Monaghan and Donegal, County Donegal.

Toilet accommodation for the disabled has been completed or is being provided at: Davitt House, Mespil Road, Dublin; No. 1 Grand Canal Street, Dublin; Kildare Building, Kildare Street, Dublin; Frederick Building, South Frederick Street, Dublin; Nassau Building, Nassau Street, Dublin; Agriculture House, Kildare Street, Dublin; Hawkins House, Hawkins Street, Dublin; O'Connell Bridge House, Dublin; Earlsfort House, Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin; St. Stephen's Green House, Dublin; 1 and 1 A Ardee Road, Dublin; Gandon House, Amiens Street, Dublin; Telephone House, Marlboro Street, Dublin; Aras Brugha, Upper O'Connell Street, Dublin; Loughrea Post Office, County Galway; Loughrea Garda Station, County Galway.
