asked the Minister for Agriculture when a cow grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.
Payment of grant under last year's beef cow scheme in the disadvantaged areas was deferred in this case because, when inspected in 1980, the applicant's herd was found to contain an unlicensed bull. As the animal has since been castrated to comply with the Livestock Breeding Act, 1925, it is now proposed to allow payment in this case. Payment of the 1980 grant will be made within the next two weeks.
