andMr. Filgate asked the Minister for Agriculture the number of development farmers who have now completed their development programmes and become commercial farmers; and the way in which these farmers are affected by farm modernisation scheme grants.
The number of farmers who have reached the end of their development plans is 5,250. These farmers are now eligible for the following rates of grant on the outstanding investment balance: Land Improvement, 35 per cent; Buildings and Fixed Equipment, 15 per cent.
