Vol. 330 No. 7

Written Answers. - County Wexford National School.

523.

asked the Minister for Education when final sanction will be given for the proposed extension at Courtnacuddy national school, County Wexford; and when work will commence.

Sketch-plans for the proposed extension to Courtnacuddy national school, County Wexford, have been approved and a grant towards the cost has been sanctioned.

The Commissioners of Public Works are now about to undertake the preparation of working drawings and to arrange for the preparation of a bill of quantities after which tenders may be invited.

It is not possible to state at this stage when building work may commence but the remaining arrangements for this project consist of preparation of working drawings and bill of quantities leading up to the invitation of tenders. Barring any unforeseen problems these works could take six - eight months. Every possible effort will now be made to have this matter progressed as speedily as possible.
