asked the Minister for Education the progress that has been made in respect of the proposed extension to Laghey national school, Laghey, County Donegal.
Written Answers. - Proposed Extension to County Donegal School.
619.
Discussions on extensions to the school began in 1973 and have gone on since then beset by a variety of difficulties, largely of a local nature. Eventually, on 20 July 1981 the reverend chairman informed the Department that he would be able to get a site extension; the Commissioners of Public Works were advised accordingly on 11 August 1981. I understand from the Commissioners of Public works that it will be necessary for their architect to survey the site extension offered by the school authorities before the preparation of a sketch-plan for the extension may be commenced. I have requested the commissioners to expedite the undertaking of this survey.
