Tenders for the erection of the proposed extension to Ballymitty national school, County Wexford, were invited on 10 November last, the latest date for the receipt of tenders in the Office of Public Works being 7 December.
When the tenders have been examined by the Commissioners of Public Works they will submit a report and recommendation to my Department in the light of which the question of allowing the project to proceed to contract will be considered.
My Department's decision will be expedited as much as possible but it is not possible to state in advance of a contract being placed when building work is likely to commence.
