The chairman of the board of management of Lacken national school, County Wicklow, has been authorised by the Department of Education to carry out a scheme of improvements to the school. The improvements comprise the erection of a new toilet block, the installation of oil-fired central heating, the provision of shelving, the tiling of the classroom floors, the lowering of the ceilings, and the laying of additional playspace. The erection of the toilet block and the installation of central heating and the provision of shelving has been completed. The chairman of the board of management will be advised on the question of the execution of the balance of the works at an early date.
