asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs why a person (details supplied) in Dublin who paid a £242 fee in November last still has no telephone service, although an instrument has been fitted in her home.

It was expected that service would be provided earlier but the cable was found to be faulty at the installation stage. It is expected that service will be provided in about six weeks or so.
