Vol. 333 No. 7

Written Answers. - County Cork National School.

240.

asked the Minister for Education if, in view of the appalling conditions in Ballygiblin national school, County Cork, he will arrange to invite tenders as soon as possible; and, if so, when.

I understand from the Commissioners of Public Works that detailed working drawings for the proposed new school at Ballygiblin, County Cork, are nearing completion. The next stage of planning is the preparation of bills of quantities. I also understand from the Commissioners that they await the submission by the school authorities of the local authority's final planning permission.

Tenders cannot be invited until the working drawings and bills of quantities have been completed and final planning permission has been secured.
