Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers - Douglas (Cork) School for Hearing-Impaired Children.

13.

asked the Minister for Education if he will arrange for construction of the school which was sanctioned for deaf children at Douglas, Cork to begin in the present year.

14.

asked the Minister for Education when work will commence on the school for the deaf in Douglas, Cork.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle I propose to take Questions Nos. 13 and 14 together.

The question of the release to contract of the project for the erection of the proposed Special School for Hearing-Impaired Children at Douglas, Cork, is under consideration in my Department at present. I expect to be in a position to make a decision on the matter at an early date.
