(Cavan-Monaghan) asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when it is proposed to provide a telephone kiosk at Cor-cloughan Cross, Cortubber PO Castleblayney, County Monaghan; and if he will have the matter expedited.
There is no cable available at present to provide service to the kiosk it is proposed to instal at this site. Every effort will be made to have the kiosk installed as quickly as possible but having regard to the volume of work generally to be done in the area, it is likely to be up to a year before it can be provided.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the urgent need of a person (details supplied) in Dublin for a telephone service, which he has been trying to obtain since January 1980; and if, in view of the medical grounds involved, he will give this case every possible priority.
The need for telephone service by the person named is fully appreciated. Regrettably, however, service cannot be provided until additional cabling work has been carried out to serve the area. It is expected that the necessary work will be completed in about a year and service will be provided as soon as at all possible after that.
