Vol. 334 No. 2

Written Answers. - Headage Grants Scheme.

487.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if, in view of the importance of the headage grants scheme to farmers in the severely handicapped areas, including part time farmers, he will approve a substantial increase in the existing ceiling of £4,750 for all off-farm incomes in respect of 1982.

The off-farm income limit for eligibility under the 1982 headage schemes in the disadvantaged areas has been raised from the figure of £4,750, which applied in 1981, to £5,415.
