Information as follows has been obtained from Dublin Corporation: Number of employees of Dublin Corporation superannuable under the Local Government (Superannuation) Act, 1956, as amended by the Superannuation Revision Scheme, 1977, (a) Part II (officers), 1,805; (b) Part III (servants), 4,343.
With regard to part (c) of question the Local Government (Superannuation) Act, 1956 replaced the 1948 Act. Section 48 of the 1956 Act made provision for servants previously superannuable under the 1948 Act.
