(Waterford) asked the Minister for Labour when he expects to receive the final report of the Government working party on childcare facilities for working parents; and if he will, in the near future, make provision for a national network of facilities for working parents.

I understand that preparation of the working party's report is at an advanced stage and that the intention is to have it completed this summer. I think that it would be appropriate to await receipt of the report before commenting on the question of provision of day care facilities for the children of working parents.
