Vol. 337 No. 1

Written Answers. - Vehicle Parking in Dublin.

693.

asked the Minister for Justice if he is aware of the anxiety of residents of May Street, Dublin 3, as represented by a person (details supplied) in connection with the wanton parking of lorries and other vehicles in their area and the consequent danger to children; and if he will outline the steps he proposes to take, in conjunction with the various other responsible authorities, to ensure that this hazard is ended.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that, in the course of a recent check by gardaí in the area, all lorries and vans were found to be parked legally. Nevertheless, owners of vehicles were reminded of the necessity of observance of the parking laws. The matter will continue to receive attention from the Garda.
