As the applicant is a development farmer payment could not be made until the necessary evidence of keeping farm accounts was furnished. This evidence came to hand only recently. The grant will be paid shortly.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange to pay a farm machinery grant under the farm modernisation scheme to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.
It is a condition under the farm modernisation scheme that a project to be grant aided must form part of a farm plan. As the applicant did not comply with this condition he is not eligible for grant aid.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange to pay a grant under the farm modernisation scheme to a person (details supplied) in Crosspatrick, County Kilkenny, for farm buildings; and if the amount of the grant which was approved could be increased in view of the cost of the work carried out.
Application for the grant at issue was received on 20 October 1981. Farmers may qualify for grant-aid at "other high" rate for a period not exceeding six years and as the applicant in this case had completed six years in that category, grant-aid under the scheme is now payable at the lower rate. On receipt of notification from the applicant that work has been completed an inspection will be carried out with a view to certification of the work for payment of the grant.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if a person (details supplied) in New Ross, County Wexford, is entitled to a grant under the farm modernisation scheme.
The machinery shed erected by this applicant is not up to the Department's requirements. If the work is completed to specification, the question of payment of a grant will be considered.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the present position in regard to the payment of a cow suckler grant to a person (details supplied) in Kilcolgan, County Galway.
The person named was paid his 1981 EEC suckler cow premium on 15 June 1982.
