Vol. 337 No. 2

Written Answers. - Drug Use Approval.

466.

asked the Minister for Health if he will make a statement on the report in the media (details supplied) that a named drug (details supplied) has been approved for use in this country although there is strong suspicion in the British Department of Health that it was implicated in the deaths of 36 people.

This drug has not been marketed in Ireland and the marketing of it will not be allowed pending examination of detailed reports which have been sought by the National Drugs Advisory Board.
