Written Answers. - Kerry Job Creation Plans.

776.

asked the Minister for Industry and Energy if he will make a statement outlining IDA's plans for future job creation in the Tralee area of North Kerry.

I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that two companies — Jason Products Ltd., and Erich Utsch (Ireland) Ltd., commenced operations in early 1982 which between them have the potential to employ 67 people at full production.

The IDA has two advance factories, one of 6,000 sq. ft. and the other of 3,300 sq. ft. in Tralee. A further 24,000 sq. ft. advance factory is being provided by private sector finance and the County Council own a 6,500 sq. ft. advance factory in the town.

These facilities, together with a number of privately owned buildings, and 28 acres of IDA-owned land are being vigourously promoted by the IDA for suitable industrial projects.
