asked the Minister for the Environment the present position in relation to a £1,000 grant application from a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

My Department are awaiting notification from the applicant that the house has been completed and occupied. An inspection will then be arranged with a view to payment of a grant.

asked the Minister for the Environment if, in view of the special circumstances, he will grant a replacement cheque to a new home applicant (details supplied) in Clondalkin, County Dublin.

As the Department have no responsibility in the matter, it is not possible to issue a replacement order.

(Limerick West) asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a new house grant was not paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

This application for the £1,000 new house grant was rejected because the application was not received in my Department within 12 months of occupation of the house, as prescribed under Article 11 (1) (b) of the Housing Regulations, 1980.

(Limerick West) asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application from the person named.

525.

(Limerick West) asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

A grant cannot be allowed in this case because, contrary to a qualifying condition of the scheme, the works had commenced before an inspection of the house was carried out. The applicant was so informed on 11 March 1982.

526.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.
