Written Answers. - County Dublin Costal Erosion.

703.

asked the Minister for Finance the plans in hand to carry out work to the coastline at Shanganagh Cliffs and Corbawn Woods Estate, Shankill, County Dublin to halt and prevent coastal erosion.

The Commissioners of Public Works have received a proposal under the Coast Protection Act, 1963 from Dublin County Council for a coast protection scheme at South County Dublin which includes the coastline at Shanganagh Cliffs and Corbawn Woods Estate. The statutory preliminary examination of this application has been completed and the report on the examination is under urgent consideration by the Commissioners with a view to making a determination under section 4 of the 1963 Act on whether the circumstances are such that the preparation and execution of a scheme is warranted or feasible.
