The expenditure incurred in respect of the accommodation in question in the year ended 31 December 1982 from Vote 9, Public Works and Buildings, and Vote 17, Rates on Government Property, amounted to £440,873.65. This expenditure is inclusive of maintenance, supply of furniture, heating, lighting, fire insurance, rent and contribution in lieu of rates but is exclusive of the cost of office cleaning and supply of toilet requisites.
The area of office and storage space (not lettable area) in the building occupied by the Department is 57,124 square feet.
